"I broke 42 bones in 19 years" - Matt
"I suffered from a form of brittle bone disease ever since I was born. When I was about six I was in hospital every four or five days - so I got to know the staff pretty well! "Once I was having a plaster cast taken off one arm then I broke the other one in the lift! Another time I broke my wrist in my sleep. I woke up one morning and my arm really hurt so we went to the hospital and they said I must have laid on it funny and that's how it broke it was mad!

"I also had tunnel vision when I was little and I had to wear these really big, thick glasses. It was like looking through two toilet tubes cos it was completely black around the out side and I could only see straight in front of me. "My mum told me that when I was little she found me digging a hole in the garden trying to bury my specs cos I hated them. But eventually I learned to live with it.

"I used to get called four-eye's at school and although it got to me sometimes, it wasn't that bad cos I was quite a cheeky boy and was never physically bullied. "Luckily, I only had to wear my specs till I was nine cos my sight started improving, and I don't have to wear them at all now but sometimes it's a bit fuzzy when I first open my eyes in the morning.

"Actually the last time I broke a bone was a few years ago when I broke my toe on a curb! "But thankfully it hasn't happened again since then. I've thought about going back to the hospital to try and get an explanation of why it's gone but I’m a bit scared of what they might say. I'm very happy with how things are going at the moment and my body seems to be too!!!
